| Q1. How long have you been in business?
Rainy Day Roofing & Exteriors, owned by Josh Hopewell , began serving the Plano/ Allen/ McKinney/ Richardson area in 1999.
Q2. Do you provide written estimates?
Absolutely! A Rainy Day Roofing & Exteriors customer service representative will sit down with you at the beginning of each project and talk with you to determine exactly what you want. It is important to Rainy Day Roofing & Exteriors that you know all the costs up front and you are happy with end result. Together, you will work to develop a remodeling plan that is perfect for you and that will work for your goals and within your budget. Within just a few days of that initial meeting, you will receive a written estimate. If you have any questions about the project overview, we will be happy to answer them.
Q3. How much does it cost to replace a roof?
There is no simple answer to how much the bottom line will be for your roofing project. An estimate is based on square footage, the pitch of roof, accessibility, type of roofing material needed, 1- or 2-story home, removal of old roof (if necessary), roof permit and city license, and labor.
Q4. What causes a roof to wear out?
Several factors combine to affect roof deterioration. These may include ultraviolet radiation from the sun, inadequate ventilation, temperature extremes, exposure to wind and rain, and foot traffic on the roof. Darker color shingles may have shorter service life than shingles with a light color.
Q5. Will Rainy Day Roofing & Exteriors provide local references?
We always enjoy sharing our success stories with our future clients. Our website includes many testimonials and endorsements of satisfied customers. Our business thrives on word-of-mouth referrals and we want to add you to our list of happy patrons. We would be very happy to have you view our finished products so that you can see for yourself the kind of quality craftsmanship we provide. This is the best way we can earn your trust and give you peace of mind.
Q6. What kind of warranty do you offer?
Our roofing systems come with a 10-year, 7-year, or 5-year workmanship warranty. These warranties vary accordingly according to the roofing package you choose. Our gutter systems also carry a 10-year, 7-year, or 5-year workmanship warranty. Individual manufacturers provide the warranties that cover the materials used for both roofs and gutters.

Our crews are proud of their honesty, knowledge, and professional attitude. At Rainy Day Roofing & Exteriors, we respect the fact that you have invited us and we are guests on your property.
Q9. How long does it take to replace a roof?
Replacing a roof, whether on a commercial or residential building, is a labor-intensive project and, depending on the type of roof, could take from a few days to 2 or more weeks. The time involved is substantially affected by the weather, as well. Wind, snow, rain, or even just the threat of one of these and will slow the process considerably. Rainy Day Roofing & Exteriors always provides careful planning and close project management to help reduce some of the delays caused by bad weather.
