“We recently installed a new hot water heater which required some code upgrades. The plumbers installed the venting from inside the house, but wouldn’t go up on the roof to seal it – we didn’t hire the plumbers – our home warranty company did, but that’s another story. We called Rainy Day Services because they were one of the few “A” rated handymen on the List that would do roof repairs. The responded quickly to our call and was at our home the next day. They were a bit late due to the job before us. However, they called and apologized for the delay. They ended up being only about 45 minutes late. They were courteous and did the work they said they would do including checking the entire roof and flashings. Although it hasn’t rained to know for sure! There’s no reason for me to think the work wasn’t done properly. They didn’t want to be paid on the spot, but instead sent us a bill via email – a refreshing difference. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again.”

“After reading reviews on this company, I decided to call and get a quote. When I did, the lady who took my call (Lidia) did not know the answer to some of my questions and told me she would talk to Josh and have him call me back. Within the hour, he had called, answered my questions and said he would have Lidia call me back and schedule the services. Once again, she promptly called me back. We scheduled the services, handled the payment information and she said that if I was not home when the work was completed, she would email me a receipt. I happened not to be home when the work was finished and sure enough, I received my receipt. This company did everything they said they would do and was professional in every aspect. To top it off, we got a thank you card for using their company just two days after the work was done. It’s hard to find a company who really seems to appreciate their customers but this company seems to. Because of that alone, much less the quality of work, I would definitely use them again!”

“After being away for 10 days, we came back to the house on Sun. March 21, and found a water stain on the ceiling in the living room and the floor wet. Signed on with Angie’s list on Monday and started researching. On Tuesday, I called three different roofers right away. Lydia at Rainy Day Roofing answered my call, took my schedule for making an appointment for someone to come out to give a free no-obligation-estimate. (I am a college professor with a scheduled that is not flexible.) She called me back within the hour and scheduled our appointment for Wednesday morning. Josh came right on time and found the problem spot. As we were standing there talking, the clouds were moving in. I expressed my concern of the rain in the forecast for later that day. Josh said that he might be able to finish one more job before mine, and fix my roof later that afternoon. I told him that I could not be there because of my schedule, he said that I did not need to. Around 4:30pm, I called Lydia and was told the guys were on their way! … The rain poured that evening, but our house stayed dry! I have to say that our experience with the Rainy Day Roofing was the best we have had with any contractors. They are very professional, —from Lydia to Josh. (Did not meet the workers.)— They are punctual (which was crucial because I had to be in my classes on time), and provided quality service and get the job done FAST! I have to mention that it was not until the Rainy Day Roofing was fixing my roof that I heard back from the other roofers confirming schedule to come out… The difference with Rainy Day Roofing was that we got to stay dry from the down pour THAT evening!!! Thank you, Lydia, Josh, and everyone at the Rainy Day Roofing! I hope that we will never have to deal with a leaking roof. But if we do, you will be called!”

“They finished the job in one day. The other companies were going to take off probably a fourth of the roof to try to find the leak. Rainy Day came in, checked out in the attic and found that the leak was only in the edging not in the roof itself. So, instead of paying a price of 1748 dollars they got it down to 450 dollars. It was just moving some shingles, putting some covers under it and putting the shingles back.”

They kept me informed when it was raining and they were not able to come. They came out and finished the work in one day once the raining had stopped. “Josh came out to give the estimate the same day we called. This was important to us because we had a leak caused by the hole in our roof. We called several other roofers and none were responsive despite our sense of urgency. After he gave the estimate, he had his team come out to complete the work within a few days. Overall, we were very pleased with their work.”

“Josh (owner) and a worker came the next day to assess the problem. They were on time and very professional. They went on the roof and into the attic and only found two possible problems with the flashing. They came the following day to seal the roof. After the ceiling had dried, they cut out the affected area, inserted new sheetrock and retextured the ceiling. They would have painted but I will do that myself.”
