This is a roof I looked at in Plano, Texas. The roofer used mix matched shingles on the entire house. Each slope has a different color and style. One slope actually has a mixture of two different shingles. Several shingles were torn around vents, some shingles are missing, nails are exposed and were not sealed, flashing was not done correctly around the chimney, and the ridge caps are not installed correctly. I’m still not sure if this was a DIY gone wrong or a roofer who had “one too many”. Either way, this is not right. You would think with all the tar they put on this vent that it would keep the water out, but nope, it still leaks. Don’t get ripped off.
